The Queen’s Baton relay

The Queen’s Baton met the Paramotor Community in Malaysia on Friday, 21 January 2022.

The Queen’s Baton was brought to meet the Paramotor community at their training ground in Pulau Indah of Port Klang, the main gateway by sea into Malaysia. Port Klang was also known as Port Swettenham during the British colonial times.

The Queen’s Baton was well received by Mr. Mohd Nurhaqimy Mohd Ismail, President of the Malaysia Sports Aviation Federation (MSAF) and his members of the Paramotor Disciplines.

Mr. Fong Wan Hor, General Manager of CGA Malaysia, took the opportunity to explain to the Paramotor community that the Queen’s Baton, which carries the message of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, will travel to all the 72 nations and territories of the Commonwealth to inspire the people and to celebrate values of the Commonwealth Games.

The President of MSAF then piloted a Wheel Launch Paramotor to lead a convoy of Paramotors in the air, flying the Queen’s Baton above the sky of Port Klang.The Paramotor community led by the President of MSAF also performed the Queen’s Baton Relay at their training ground in Pulau Indah of Port Klang.
