Team Malaysia Shines at BISTF 2025, Sweeps Top Honors

Batu, Indonesia – July 21, 2025
Malaysia emerged as the dominant force at the Batu International Sport Tourism Festival (BISTF) 2025, claiming multiple championship titles and solidifying its reputation as a powerhouse in the Paragliding Accuracy League scene.The team was led by THe national Coach Mr Haznain Ngamil that leading the team towards SEA games.

Competing against 86 participants from three countries, including host Indonesia and Thailand, Team Malaysia secured an impressive overall victory, with several of its athletes standing out among the world’s best. Their outstanding performances were a key highlight of the 4-day international event held in Songgomaruto, Kota Batu, East Java.

Team Malaysia’s Achievements at BISTF 2025:

•  1st Place Overall – Individual Category

The BISTF 2025 not only served as a platform for athletic excellence but also promoted cultural exchange and tourism collaboration. Team Malaysia’s triumph, particularly in the Female category, garnered praise from the local community and international observers alike.

Arief Eco Wahyudi, Chair of the East Java Paralayang Federation, noted Malaysia’s exceptional performance and sportsmanship, stating:
“Malaysia tampil sangat solid. Bahkan ada beberapa atlet mereka yang masuk peringkat 1–50 dunia.”
(“Malaysia performed very solidly. Some of their athletes are ranked in the world’s top 50.”)

The event was also commended by local officials for boosting regional tourism and strengthening ASEAN sports ties.Malaysia’s victory at BISTF 2025 is a testament to the nation’s growing influence in airsports, and reflects the country’s commitment to fostering talent, international collaboration, and sporting excellence. Malaysia is serious pushing the sports towards SEA games in Thailand to bring back gold Medal.
