Malaysia Secures 2 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal at Paragliding Sports at SEA Games Thailand 2025!!

The Malaysia Sports Aviation Federation (MSAF) proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of the Malaysian paragliding team at the SEA Games Thailand 2025, securing two silver medals and one bronze medal in Paragliding Accuracy discipline.
Aisyah Zafirah binti Mohd Nazri delivered a historic performance, earning the Silver Medal (Overall Female) with exceptional consistency. She created a new world record for female pilot, scoring eight consecutive bullseyes under 5 points, a feat never before achieved in any international competition. In recognition of this extraordinary achievement, she will receive the highly respected FAI Diploma Award from the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI).
Malaysia also secured the Team Silver Medal, a testament to the combined strength, discipline, and teamwork of the entire paragliding squad.
In the Overall Male category, Muhammad Akmaluddin bin Mohd Nafi showcased world-class excellence, dominating first place throughout the entire competition. A rare mistake in the final round caused him to slip to third place, securing the Bronze Medal. Despite this, Akmal’s performance remains one of the most impressive displays of skill in the event.
These results reinforce Malaysia’s growing stature in airsports and strengthen the nation’s bid for Paragliding and Paramotor to be included as official medal sports in the SEA Games 2027, which Malaysia is set to host.
