STATEMENT FROM MSAF
REGARDING THE PARAGLIDING ACTIVITIES
DURING PKPB IN THE AFFECTED AREAS

Message from the President

* following to the MKN (Majlis Keselamatan Negara) announcement in implementing

a conditional movement control order (PKPB) in Sabah, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya

As we all have been informed on 12 October 2020, The Government will implement the Conditional Movement Control Order (PKPB) in Sabah, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya following the third wave of the Covid-19 outbreak. PKPB will take effect in Sabah from midnight Oct 12 while Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya will take effect at midnight on Oct 13.

To support the government’s pro-active Conditional Movement Control Order in containing the spread of this epidemic within these areas, we encourage you to temporarily postpone all your paragliding flying and physical activities and follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) provided by government. Let us the Paragliding community be the example and stand in solidarity in helping the government to stop the sporadic infections of Covid-19 which is happening now in these areas. We are the frontliners as well.

Please continue to stay at home if there are no important matters and keep yourself updated on current MCO situation at MKN(Majlis Keselamatan Negara Malaysia) official website and MOH (Ministry of Health Malaysia) official website to get the latest info about COVID-19 outbreak in Malaysia.

Let’s be vigilant and take extra precaution for the health and safety of our own as well as others around us.

Thank you and we wish everyone to stay safe and healthy.

Regards,

Captain Mohd Arif Ibrahim,

MSAF President.
